Doctor alleges assault by cops

The president of resident doctors association of Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital was allegedly assaulted by two constables of the Delhi armed police over the issue of parking.

The president of resident doctors association of Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital was allegedly assaulted by two constables of the Delhi armed police over the issue of parking.

The incident triggered anger among other resident doctors who boycotted their work and started a demonstration, demanding action against the errant police personnel.

Taking action into the matter, the Delhi Police have suspended the two constables, identified as Bharam Singha and Ashok Kumar. The victim Dr Sarabjit was trying to park his car outside a booth where the two constables allegedly assaulted him.
