The Commission has been pained to learn through different newspapers about the allegations, the EC said in a letter to Indian National Lok Dal adding that the complaints have been immediately enquired into and action has been promptly taken.

Based on INLD's complaint, the EC said Radhey Shyam Mittal, Naib Tehsildar, HUDA, Faridabad has been put under suspension and Harish Kumar, Jail Superintendent, Kurukshetra and Parmjit Kaur, DPRO, Hisar have been transferred out of the districts, besides remedial action taken in several other cases. At the same time, a large number of cases were found to be unsubstantiated after enquiry, the EC said.

The Commission said that two other officials R K Kataria and D S Malik were changed on their own.

The EC also said that the party's complaint about inclusion of 2,000 names in Kaithal district was wrong.

On INLD's demand for adequate central police force in Sonepat, Rohtak and Jhajjar districts, the EC said it has already directed election officials that CPF, video cameras, micro observers and digital cameras be deployed in all sensitive polling stations to ensure free and fair elections.

"The Commission is satisfied that it has addressed all apprehensions and complaints brought to its notice by your party functionaries and believes that the action taken by the Commission should satisfy the party as well," it added.
