Former cabinet minister Arif Mohammed Khan has filed a case with the South Delhi Police on Monday after he allegedly received a series of threat calls.

Police said they are looking into the matter and trying to trace the calls.
“It might be a case of personal enmity but we will only be sure after we get a few leads in the case,” said a senior police officer on the condition of anonymity, as he is not authorised to speak to the media.
The complaint was registered at Hauz Khas Police Station.
Khan said the calls started coming around 9:26 p.m. on Sunday when he was on his way to meet a friend in Zakir Bagh Southeast Delhi.
“While I was going to a friend's place in Zakir Bagh, Okhla, for dinner, I received a call on my mobile phone. The person asked me if it was Arif Mohammed Khan who was speaking. When I replied in the affirmative, he used extremely abusive and filthy language and threatened me that I shall not see the daylight tomorrow. I continued to listen without interrupting him and little later disconnected the call.”
He added that he later intimidated the police about the incident and got a complaint registered.
Khan has held several important portfolios in the past like Union minister of Energy with additional charge of Ministry of Civil Aviation.
In 1998-99, he was a member of a committee on External Affairs and its sub-committee-II. He was also a Member of the consultative committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
