Fewer power cuts, load shedding to continue
The power situation in the city improved with fewer power cuts taking place on Friday. According to the power department officials, though the situation has normalised but due to temporary closure of the Agra canal, Delhi faced a shortage of at least 150-200 MW.

The power situation in the city improved with fewer power cuts taking place on Friday. According to the power department officials, though the situation has normalised but due to temporary closure of the Agra canal, Delhi faced a shortage of at least 150-200 MW.
To ensure overdrawing by Uttar Pradesh does not lead to a power crisis in Delhi, chief minister Sheila Dikshit has written a letter to power minister Sushil Shinde requesting him to take stock of the situation.
Power distribution company BSES Rajdhani Power Limited said that though the situation is improving, they will continue to carry out load shedding in south Delhi areas including Alaknanada, Vasant Vihar, Greater Kailash, South Extension and Nehru Place.
