The first incident was reported from east Delhi's Gandhinagar area at 1 pm, when an under-construction house collapsed. "Two labourers — Pramod and Devender — were seriously injured in the incident and had to be extracted from the debris after a rescue operation that lasted for two hours," said a police officer.
Police said another labourer, Vijay Pal , was suspected to be trapped below the debris till late evening on Thursday.
A two-storey house collapsed in south Delhi's Sangam Vihar.
"The base of the house was weak and there is a vacant plot adjacent to it which was waterlogged today. The water seeped into the shaky foundation leading to the collapse," said police.
Police said Rajvati (40) and her daughters Shashi (18) and Sangeeta (20) were trapped below the rubble. "They were rushed to AIIMS where Rajvati's condition is critical."
