A member of the team said they were examining burnt parts from the coach and would submit a report within a week.

An injured passenger, Madanlal, undergoing treatment here, claimed he woke up after hearing a loud noise in the coach and there were at least two more such thuds later.

"It was a very loud sound, just like after a blast. While getting down, I heard it at least two-three times," he told reporters.

Railway minister Mukul Roy, who suspects sabotage, has said the commissioner, railway safety, will probe the tragedy from all angles.
