The house of a former Intelligence Bureau official, who died a month ago, was burgled in west Delhi. The burglary, which took place at the Kirti Nagar residence of late Ajit Singh (72), was detected when his family members arrived at the house to do a religious ritual, according to the police.

Nobody was staying at the house after Singh's death on November 27. Police said Gurwinder Singh, the youngest son-in-law of the deceased, found that the house was burgled.

He had come there with other relatives to conduct a havan in memory of his father-in-law. Though the two gates of the house were locked, said police, a door was found broken open.
