From May 15, pay more to fly out of IGI airport
Flying in and out of the Capital is set to get more expensive with the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority clearing a 346% hike in Delhi airport charges for two years.

International airfares are likely to rise by as much as Rs. 5,000, while domestic fares could go up by up to Rs. 1,000. The hike will come into effect from May 15.
Those who have already bought tickets for flights after May 15 will also have to pay the new charges. The International Air Transport Association slammed the hike, saying it would make Delhi the world's most expensive airport.
But Delhi International Airport Ltd (Dial), the private consortium that runs the IGI airport, said, "The revision of charges is much below our expectations." Dial had sought a 774% hike in charges.
