A day after he was expelled from the membership of the Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee (OC) for indiscipline, former BJP Member of Parliament Vijay Goel alleged that there is wide spread corruption going on not only in the OC but also Delhi government.

The former Union Sports Minister accused OC chairman Suresh Kalmadi and has sought Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's intervention in the matter.

“Kalmadi has an autocratic and arrogant style of working and one who could not take criticism in the right spirit. There is no accountability and transparency in the OC and Delhi government as far as Games projects are concerned,” said Goel at a press conference on Tuesday.

The BJP leader said because of delay in putting up the infrastructure Indian athletes have “lost their home advantage”.

“Everybody is giving rosy pictures, claiming everything will be completed on time. If everything is okay, I ask why a monitoring committee was formed?”

“Why was Jarnail Singh roped in as the CEO of the Organizing Committee? Why was a Group of Ministers formed by the government?” Goel asked.
