Former fashion design teacher Tarveen Suri, who was set ablaze by two unidentified men at her house in GK-II on Saturday night, said she suspected Rachna Brahmwar, a former colleague of her husband, to be behind the attack.

Naveen Suri, Tarveen’s husband, has reportedly confessed to the police that he had a relationship with Rachna.

Tarveen, who gave a statement to the police at Safdarjung Hospital, however, denied having any problems with her husband.

RN Suri, the victim’s father-in-law, said, “A week ago, Rachna called up Tarveen and told her that her life would change drastically in the coming few days.

She repeatedly asked Tarveen to leave my son.”

The police began interrogating prime accused Rachna, 34, an employee of Sita Travels, on Monday evening.
