Government must show the will to investigate all aspects of IPL, expelled BJP leader Jaswant Singh on Tuesday said.

"They (government) have the ability and the wherewithal. The government must show the needed will and must not stand in the way," he said, when asked if the IPL issue should be investigated by the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax Department.
The former Finance Minister said this issue deserved a JPC probe.
"I do believe that this issue merits a JPC to look into all aspects of it. JPC should be assisted by the government agencies in its probe," Singh said.
He congratulated Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee for that latter's stand in Parliament yesterday that all aspects of IPL, including its source of funding, would be investigated.
"I don't want to speculate (on role of people involved) but I do support Pranab babu. Doodh ka doodh paani ka paani (he has promised to bring out the truth)," Singh said.
He dismissed as irrelevant questions on whether a JPC probe should have been held first and Union Minister Shashi Tharoor asked to resign later.
"Whether it was delayed or further delayed is irrelevant. Kaam ho jaana chahiye (the job should be done)," he said.
