In the face of allegations of corruption in the CWG project works and and growing fear of failing to complete CWG work in time, the Union Government on Thursday formed a committee of 10 senior bureaucrats to oversee Games work. These bureaucrats who are of the rank of joint and additional secretaries have been picked up by the Prime Minister Office to assist the CWG Organising Committee.

All the officers of the OC will reports to these bureaucrats. Each one of the bureaucrat will look after one stadium to ensure that work completes on time for the Games. With just 45 days to go for the Games, the government wants to ensure that all pending projects are completed without any further delays and hiccups.
Earlier, the government had formed a group of ministers headed by Union Minister of Urban Development Jaipal Reddy to oversee all work related to CWG, virtually clipping Suresh Kalmadi's wings.
