Opposed: BJP and Shiv Sena saying including minorities was against the basic spirit of the Constitution which does not allow reservation on religious lines.

Supported: Congress, SP, RJD, BSP, DMK, Left parties and Trinamool Congress saying it was within the Constitutional framework and everyone should be included in fight against corruption

Lokayukta: One law to set up Lokpal at central level and lokayuktas in the states.

Opposed: BJP, AIADMK, DMK, TDP, Biju Janata Dal saying it will disturb the federal structure and trample the right of the states to frame laws. Having Lokayukta in a Central law will mean existing Lokayukta laws will have to be scrapped.

Supported: Congress said the issue can be taken up when the bill is taken up for discussion next week.

Prime Minister: Lokpal to investigate Prime Minister with restrictions.

Opposed: RJD, SP, AIADMK and Shiv Sena opposed to PM coming under Lokpal purview saying the PM is not a leader of a party but entire country.

Supported: CPIM and BJP saying the fight against corruption has to cover all top levels of governance including PM.
