Filing the petitions, the street vendors submitted that in view of the CWG, the agency had asked them to shift their shops temporarily but after the event, it failed to provide them any alternative place.

They said that under the Delhi Laws (special provisions) Act, which expires on December 31, they were asked to temporarily relocate to other places.

Many applications had been submitted to NDMC, which said that they were pending with the Vending Committee but no decision had been taken so far.
