“The first disturbance may not have significant impact but the second disturbance may be accompanied by hail in some areas,” said OP Singh, deputy director general of meteorology, Delhi. The second western disturbance is expected to hit the city on March 27. The rainfall may continue till March 30 intermittently.

The city has been experiencing high day-time temperatures for two weeks.

On Thursday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 33.5 degrees, three degrees above normal. The minimum was recorded at 17.9 degrees, two degrees above normal.
