Indian dies of stroke on board

A passenger of an Indian flight to Singapore dies of a stroke on board when it was about to land at the Changi Airport this morning.

A passenger of an Indian flight to Singapore died of a stroke on board when it was about to land at the Changi Airport this morning.

As the passenger, identified as Madhur Kharbanda, remained inside the toilet when the aircraft was descending to land, the air hostesses forced open the door and found him lying inside, Indian sources said in New Delhi.

The emergency medical services were immediately alerted at the airport by the pilot of the Delhi-Singapore flight, IC-859, but Kharbanda was declared dead on landing by the doctors, the sources said.

The passenger suffered the attack while he was inside the toilet, they said.
