Jethmalani, Ramdev back Modi for PM
Yoga guru, Baba Ramdev and former BJP member Ram Jethmalani today backed Gujarat chief Minister Narendra Modi for the post of prime minister.
Yoga guru, Baba Ramdev and former BJP member Ram Jethmalani on Thursday backed Gujarat chief Minister Narendra Modi for the post of prime minister.
Speaking to media, after meeting Jethmalani here, Baba Ramdev said Modi is the only person who can fight the demons of the Congress Party.
“All these demons that are currently in the Congress Party, and only one man has the guts and willpower to fight them, and that man is Narendra Modi. That is why we will work towards the victory of Modi and the people of this country will make him the Prime Minister,” said Baba Ramdev.
Jethmalani, who was recently expelled from the BJP, also voiced support for Modi.
“I have always said this that it is in the interest of this country that Narendra Modi becomes Prime Minister and the reason for that being that I believe that he is the final solution to the country’s problems,” said Jethmalani.
After Modi won a fourth consecutive term in office in December 2012, many in the BJP have called for him to lead the party in the 2014 general elections.
