Lawyers oppose new property Bill

The Bar said the proposed amendments would create utter chaos and confusion for people registering their property.

“The new amendments cannot reduce property feuds. Quasi judicial bodies replacing civil courts would be of no use in resolving disputes related to properties,” said SC Dixit President of the association.

The bar association, in a letter to the Lieutenant-Governor and Chief Minister of Delhi, has sought a rollback of the proposed amendments.
