Chanting anti-government slogans, hundred of supporters of Left parties on Friday held a demonstration here protesting the rising prices of essential commodities.
The protesters demanded immediate steps to bring down the prices of essential commodities and roll back of hike in petroleum prices.
Top leaders from various Left parties are taking part in the demonstration and will address it later in the day.
