Mahajan gets back his passport

A city court on Tuesday released the passport of reality show star Rahul Mahajan, who got married in a television programme, for his honeymoon trip to Maldives but with a rider.

Additional Sessions Judge JPS Malik said, “Rahul Mahajan shall give an affidavit stating that the marriage contracted by him on March 6 is a bonafide act and not for the purpose of show.”

The court asked Mahajan to give an undertaking that his trip shall be a private visit and in no way an extension of the show and cannot be telecast on any channel.Outside the courtroom, Mahajan said, “I am very happy. I just want to pack my bags and leave.”

The court directed Mahajan to get his marriage registered under the provisions of the Hindu Marriage Act within two months.
