Himanshu Rath of Agewell Foundation said, “Many elders are forced to lead a marginalised life. Even in Diwali, no one visits them.” With ‘Let’s Spread Joy & Happiness among the Elderly’ initiative, Agewell is collecting walking sticks, spectacles, wheelchairs, hearing aids and medicines for needy old people.

JR Gupta from the Confederation of Senior Citizens Associations of Delhi, said, they will be organising a get- together at the Deer Park at Hauz Khas on Diwali morning. “Seniors from across the city will come to attend it,” Gupta said.
