A 23-year-old man has been arrested in the city for stabbing a bridegroom’s cousin during a marriage procession in south Delhi, police said.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested in the city for stabbing a bridegroom’s cousin during a marriage procession in south Delhi, police said.

The arrested, an alleged criminal, has been identified as Mustafa. Mustafa allegedly stabbed Green Kumar (32) when he intervened in an argument between two groups in Netaji Nagar on Saturday night.

“Two marriage processions arrived simultaneously from Rajapuri and Inderpuri. A quarrel took place among those who had come from Rajapuri. Kumar intervened and was stabbed in the stomach by Mustafa,” Chhaya Sharma, DCP (south), said.

Meanwhile, Kumar is critical and undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Science Trauma Centre.
