Man jailed for minor’s rape
A Delhi court sentenced a 21-year-old youth to five-year jail term for kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old girl. The court sentenced the youth despite his claims that the victim was in love with him and the act was consensual.

A Delhi court sentenced a 21-year-old youth to five-year jail term for kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old girl. The court sentenced the youth despite his claims that the victim was in love with him and the act was consensual.
Additional sessions judge Sanjay Sharma held the youth, who was 19 at the time of the offence, guilty of rape and kidnapping, and rejected his love theory.
The court ruled that because the girl was younger than 16 years, no amount of her consent could help him. HTC
