Man wanted in 32 cases arrested in Delhi

A man wanted in more than 32 cases of extortion, kidnapping, attempt to murder, robbery and criminal intimidation was arrested in New Delhi, the police said.

A man wanted in more than 32 cases of extortion, kidnapping, attempt to murder, robbery and criminal intimidation was arrested in New Delhi, the police said on Friday.

Khalil Ahmed, who was arrested on Thursday, was demanding Rs 1 million as extortion from a businessman of Khari Baoli area in north Delhi, the police said.

"Ahmed is involved in more than 32 cases of heinous crimes including extortion, kidnapping, attempt to murder, robbery/dacoity and criminal intimidation. A Lancer car has been recovered from his possession," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar said.
