Maximum temperature dips in capital

Delhi shivered on Monday as the maximum temperature fell three degrees below normal to 19.1 degrees Celsius.

The minimum was recorded as 7.7 degrees, normal for this time of the year. The fog also made a comeback with the visibility dropping to 100 meters at 8.30am.

The weatherman has forecast a similar day for Tuesday with the temperature expected to be between 19 and 7 degrees Celsius. Fog is also expected on Tuesday morning. The airport is also expected to see thick fog in the morning.

December has been uncharacteristically cold this year with the temperatures rarely falling below the normal level.


Water supply to be affected

New Delhi: Water supply would be available at low pressure owing to annual flushing of underground reservoirs/booster pumping stations on Wednesday at Vasant Vihar, RK Puram sector I, Bharthal Village, DDA flats Shivam Enclave, Paschim Vihar, Madipur, Multan Nagar, Punjabi Bagh, Meera Bagh, Syaid Gaon, Ashok Vihar, Nimri Colony, Shakti Nagar.

Similarly, water supply would be available at low pressure on Thursday at Ashok Vihar, Nimri Colony, Shakti Nagar Extension, Keshavpuram, Lawrence Road Industrial area, Trinagar, Paschim Vihar, Delhi Jal Board said.
