The MCD has transferred 200 engineers and 450 sanitation workers as part of an organisational reshuffle.

Terming it as part of "routine procedure", an MCD spokesperson said with some 136 newly-recruited junior engineers joining the Building Department, 200 engineers have been moved from there.
The civic body has also shifted 450 sanitation workers, including a number of sanitary inspectors and assistant sanitary inspectors.
The move came two days after the civic body transferred 65 engineers of the Building Department, most of whom had departmental inquiries or other probes related to corruption allegations pending against them.
Delhi Mayor Kanwar Sain had then hinted that more transfers can be effected in the coming days, but added that some of these can also be part of routine procedure and not related to graft charges.
The Mayor has said that steps will be taken to ensure that employees working for a long time in the same department are shifted.
The MCD has come under pressure in recent days after Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit accused it of inefficiency and demanded that it be brought under control of Delhi government.
