Mercury rises; Delhi to become warmer

Delhiites woke up to a warm morning Friday with minimum temperature settling two notches above normal at 11 degrees Celsius. The weatherman said the mercury would rise further in the days to come.

Delhiites woke up to a warm morning Friday with minimum temperature settling two notches above normal at 11 degrees Celsius. The weatherman said the mercury would rise further in the days to come.

"The skies will mainly remain clear. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 27 degrees Celsius," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

There was no possibility of rain in the first week of February, the official said adding that the temperature is likely to rise further.
