Meritorious quota candidate can opt for reserved seat: Apex court

The Supreme Court on Friday ruled that if a candidate belonging to the reserved category succeeds on merit in the general category in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations he could opt for reserved category seats to avail the cadre of his choice.
