The 40-year-old man reportedly hanged himself from a ceiling fan inside a room in the TB Centre of Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital.

Police said Bulla was brought to the hospital around 8.30 pm on Friday, and committed suicide around 11.30 pm. He reportedly did not leave behind a suicide note.

In another suicide, a 48-year-old jawan posted with the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) shot himself dead in the Mayur Vihar area of east Delhi on Saturday. He, too, did not leave behind a suicide note. The jawan, identified as Makhlam Chhetan, reportedly shot himself around 6 pm,

soon after he returned to his barracks.

He was posted at SSB’s camp near Chilla More in Mayur Vihar.

Police said Chhetan, a native of Arunachal Pradesh, had returned from Jammu and Kashmir in December last year and had not been home for more than a year.

Police have seized the service rifle with which the Chhetan committed suicide. His family has been informed and the body has been sent for postmortem.
