Sumit Parihar's father, Devender, identified his body after travelling to Haryana's Palwal with a Delhi Police team.
Parihar, a resident of the Safdurjung Enclave area, had gone missing on the afternoon of September nine.

"We had received a complaint on September 10 and had uploaded his picture on ZIPNET to aid investigation. Yesterday, however, information about a body matching his description was received from our counterparts in Haryana," said an officer.

Though police said they had reasons to suspect Parihar's was a case of suicide—he was apparently not carrying his wallet with him at the time of death. They said they were yet to recover his mobile phone which had been instrumental in tracing his location to where his body was found.
