Most roads to Sarojini Nagar Market to become one-way

For proper utilisation of the first automated multi-level parking (MLP) in the city, most roads in Sarojini Nagar area will soon become one-way streets. HT reports.

For proper utilisation of the first automated multi-level parking (MLP) in the city, most roads in Sarojini Nagar area will soon become one-way streets.

On all four sides of the main Sarojini Nagar Market, roads will be made one-way, which will ultimlead to the multi-level parking situated near Delhi Public library. The one-way road will move in clockwise direction.ately Earlier, the roads were two- way but the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) along with the Delhi Traffic Police came up with the plan to decongest some of the lanes.

Drivers commuting towards the market via Africa Avenue will have to take a turn and travel through Brigadier Hoshiar Singh Marg and enter the market via Lane H. Trail runs are already on and the Traffic Police will bring out a notification in a week’s time. Once the notifications are out, drivers will be fined for non-compliance to the new traffic rules.

“There will be signages to mark the new change of plan and trail runs have already been started,” said a senior official of NDMC.

The plan has been made in such a way that it will help the parking and retrieval of cars from newly started multi-level Parking, Sarojini Nagar Market in specified time.
