NCWEB: Today is the last day to submit forms

"I am applying for an undergraduate course under Non-collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB). The financial condition in my home is not very good and I want to work while I study," said Saxena.

NCWEB offers two courses — BA programme and BCom programme — exclusively for women. In both these courses, classes are held only on weekends.

Tuesday is the last day to buy and submit forms. The forms are to be submitted at the Tutorial Building, Patel Chest Institute by 3pm on Tuesday. Only those students who reside in Delhi can apply for this course.

The courses have been gaining popularity steadily over the years. Students who want a Delhi University degree but can't enrol in regular college have started to make a beeline for these options.

There are total 13 centres across DU colleges where the weekend classes are held. "There are 50 teaching days in an academic session and 66% attendance is compulsory for taking an examination," said Aarti Saxena, director, NCWEB.

The first cut-off list for NCWEB students will come out on June 24, while the second will be out on July 8.
