Her family has been alleging Chaddha slipped into coma on Monday morning because of the hospital’s failure to provide her timely support.Chaddha was admitted to the hospital on December 10, with complaints of loose motion and weakness.

In their police complaint on Monday evening, the family has specifically mentioned that the attending consultant did not visit the patient despite being present in the hospital.

“We are in the process of filing an FIR against the hospital,” said Ajay Bhasin, her relative. Hospital authorities maintain the patient was duly attended to.

“Our preliminary enquiries have revealed everything was in order. Even the oxygen was connected to the nebulizer, which in turn was connected to the patient,” said Dr AP Choudhuri, medical director, Shri Balaji Action hospital.
