On a visit to the HT House on Tuesday for an Unplugged@HT session, the actor, who shared the stage with Hazare at one point, said he couldn’t pick sides. “I’m with neither. I’m with whatever he (Hazare) is saying. I’m not supporting the people; I’m with the idea. I don’t support any political party. I’m very clear about that,” he said.

That said, the host of the television show Satyamev Jayate wants to be considered a “political person”. “Everyone is political. I certainly hope I’m political. I do vote, but I don’t take sides,” he said, adding that a second season of the show is in the pipeline.

Reacting to the recent killing of Abdul Hakim, who had come on the show to speak against khap panchayats, he said, “It’s extremely disturbing. We had not featured Abdul and his wife’s story because of limited time. They were in the audience.”

“I now wish I had taken their story… so people who were thinking of harming them would have got scared,” he added.

In town with co-producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani to promote his upcoming film, Talaash, in which he plays a cop, Aamir said he wanted to get his look as true-to-life as possible. "We wanted to be accurate in our approach and portray what happens in real life. Ninety per cent of the cops that we see have moustache," he said, explaining why he has sported one in the film.

As for why he hardly seems to age, Aamir confessed, “Do I use botox? No, I don't. But I follow a very healthy diet and have six meals a day.”
