The system is for dedicated Games-related forecast of weather and air pollution. The system will have 11 air quality monitoring stations and 35 automatic weather stations in NCR along with GPS observations and doppler weather radar.
“This showcases our capabilities as forecasters. This system has been developed indigenously. The system will continue for six months and will be replicated in other metro cities there after,” said Sailesh Nayak, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences.
