Singh met activist-turned-politicians Arvind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan a day after Anna Hazare had announced his new team on November 10.

Contrary to expectations, Singh did not join Hazare's new team.

Bhushan confirmed his team's meeting with Singh at his Noida residence, but termed it "general" in nature.

"Those associated with the anti-corruption movements going on in the country, keep meeting to exchange notes on certain developments, nothing more should be read into it," Bhushan told HT.

It is learnt that Singh impressed upon Kejriwal and Bhushan to continue maintaining contact with IAC, after the launch of their new political party on November 26.
