One drowns while bathing in Yamuna

One person drowned while another was rescued on Sunday when they had gone to bathe in the Yamuna near the old bridge, fire officials said.

The duo were pulled in by the current, the officials said, adding that while body of one of the persons could not be found despite efforts till late in the evening.

The search operation will resume on Monday, they said.
