The university has rescheduled its final-year exams that were to be held on the same date as some entrance exams.
Hundreds of students across courses such as philosophy, political science, history, economics and sociology who feared missing the Indian Institute of Mass Communication and Jawaharlal Nehru University entrance tests made a hue and cry about the clashing dates.
“It is good to know that the change has been made, else we would have ended up dropping a whole year because of the university’s dates,” Aparna Singh, a student of DCAC, said.
Final-year students working towards honours degrees in economics, political science, history, and other BSc (Hons) courses, who had their university exam scheduled for May 21, will take the same exam in the first week of June.
“When we schedule exams, there is always room for adjustments,” said a senior DU official.
