“I discussed justice for Mumbai attack victims. Sartaj Aziz conveyed that a prosecutor had been appointed and the visit of the judicial commission to India was scheduled on September 23. We welcomed the step”, said Salman Khurshid, external affairs minister about the meeting with his Pakistan counterpart on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Heads of State Summit in Bishkek on Friday. The proposed meeting between Manmohan Singh and his Pakistan counterpart on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly scheduled in New York was also discussed.

“I conveyed to him (Aziz) that a possible meeting between both the prime ministers in New York will require a conducive atmosphere and delivery for it to materialise,” Khurshid said in a statement.

“Considering the likelihood of a meeting between the two ' we agreed to use diplomatic channels to finalise the agenda for such a meeting keeping in view the progress made so far in working groups and in back-channel contacts,” Aziz said.
