"Parliament has spoken. There was agreement in both the Houses. The will of Parliament is the will of the people," Singh told reporters soon after Parliament decided to convey the Sense of the House to Anna Hazare.

In a letter to Hazare, Singh urged him to end his 12-day fast.

The Prime Minister's letter was taken to Hazare by union minister Vilasrao Deshmukh who was also accompanied by AICC General Secretary Vilas Muttemwar and party MP Sandeep Dikshit.

Muttemwar has been tasked with translating the Prime Minister's reply as well as the 'Sense of the House' to Hazare in Marathi.

"The Prime Minister has apprised Hazare of the agreement that the House resolutions carry and also talks about the concerns raised by Hazare," Deshmukh said.
