"Let it come in Parliament then we will see... (But) it should happen," Kaur replied to a query on whether there should be women's reservation in Parliament.

Asked about the health of the Prime Minister during the campaign for Lok Sabha polls, she said "he did whatever he could. He travelled as much he could. That's what it is."

At a function in New Delhi, Kaur declined to answer a question on her expectations from the next month's Union Budget.

Earlier, after inaugurating the third international conference on minimally invasive techniques for cochlear implant, Kaur asked the "school system to be pro-active" as far as disability of children is concerned.

She said there should be "social and financial assistance" so that health services are available to the poor also.

Kaur said medical science has made enormous progress in the last two decades and disability should be detected at an early stage.

Cochlear implant are an established treatment modality for children born deaf and adults who have become deaf later in life.
