"An effective lokpal bill is in the making. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will himself look into the draft,” Khursheed, member of the joint drafting committee, told reporters.

"There is nothing which can satisfy the whole society, but we are trying to come up with something that satisfies the majority of the people,” he added.

Asked whether the divergent views of the civil society members on the bill will go as a dissent note, Khursheed added, “Wherever there is divergence, we have said the alternative formulation given by them will be sent to the cabinet. No dissent note will be given.”
