The South Delhi Police have arrested one accused who escaped from police custody two months ago while being produced before a court. His brother was also being produced in the court for their alleged involvement in a series of thefts. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) HGS Dhaliwal said, “Santosh had escaped from police custody on October 3 when he was taken to Patiala House Courts. He dodged the police and entered a bathroom in the court premises.” Dhaliwal said after about 90 minutes, Santosh (the police gave only his first name) came out of the bathroom and escaped through the staff gate of the court. Eight policemen personnel were placed under suspension in this regard.
