On Monday, the woman had alleged that she did not receive proper treatment at Swami Dayanand Hospital and had to sleep on the floor. The 23-year-old woman, who is three-months’ pregnant, was allegedly raped by her neighbour and was admitted to the hospital.

Abbi ordered the inquiry after a delegation of the BJP Mahila Morcha met her and discussed the sensitivity of the case.

Abbi has asked the police commissioner to inquire whether police officers had a role in the incident. The victim had alleged that she was made to sleep on the floor on the first night and then, got shared beds in the general ward of the gynaecology department.
