Priyanka Gandhi, 41, was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday after she successfully underwent a surgery.

Priyanka Gandhi, daughter of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, underwent a laparoscopic surgery at New Delhi’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Monday after she was found to have stones in her gall bladder during a routine health check-up.
“She left the hospital around noon. She need not come for a follow up as she is fit and has no pain now. She was already up and about,” said Dr DS Rana, chairman, hospital’s board of management.
“She had initially requested for a late night discharge to avoid crowd, but changed her mind later,” Dr Rana added.
Priyanka Gandhi was admitted to the hospital on Sunday. During her stay in the hospital, her family members, including her mother and brother Rahul Gandhi, visited her.
The surgery was conducted by a team of doctors from the hospital’s institute of minimal access surgery department.
The surgery was led by Dr Praveen Bhatia.
