The Minister spent around 90 minutes at the Siri Fort residence of the Bhatias and assured them all possible help.

"The family is in grief and let us respect them," Chowdhry told reporters after the meeting on Friday evening.

Earlier in the day, Chowdhry branded the incident as a "systemic" failure and said there has to be "heads rolling" for it.

"There has to be heads rolling where this incident has happened. There has to be an independent investigation into the incident," she said.

"I have been saying that we need to examine this. It is not about one individual or one school principal. We have to look at this as a systemic failure at several levels, several things did not work where they should have happened perhaps," she said.
