Even as the power situation has improved over the last couple of days, many parts of the city continue to face outages due to reduced power generation in many thermal and hydro plants. “On account of the continued closure of the Agra canal, Badarpur Thermal Power Station continues to generate less electricity,” said a senior power department official.

Power distribution companies such as BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) will carry out load-shedding on a rotational basis in areas such as Vasant Kunj, Saket, Hauz Khas, Lajpat Nagar, RK Puram, Vasant Vihar, Greater Kailash, South Extension, Alaknanda, Nehru Place, Nizamuddin, Defence Colony, Nehru Place, Sarita Vihar, Najafgarh, Jaffarpur, Mundka, Punjabi Bagh, Nangloi, Janakpuri, Tagore Garden, Vikaspuri, Palam, Dwarka and adjoining areas.
