The Delhi high court on Friday dismissed a plea by Great Kailash-II residents opposing the reopening of the Savitri Cinema complex.

They had alleged that permissions given by the government and traffic police did not take into account the various lacunae in the plans relating to parking and closure of a residential colony gate, which often led to traffic snarls.
But a bench of acting chief justice AK Sikri and justice RS Endlaw said: "Once the experts have applied themselves and taken a decision and in the absence of the petitioner being able to demonstrate any error... we are loath to interfere with such decision".
The cinema developer and the authorities had apprised the court that all requisite NOCs were in place for the theatre.
