He spoke out again against Pakistan’s covert sponsorship of terror on Thursday, maintaining there were other masterminds behind the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai in 2008 apart from Lashkar-e-Tayebba operations commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi.

On Wednesday, Pakistani investigators had presented a report to a court that indicted Lakhvi and six others and sought trial against them for orchestrating the Mumbai attacks.

“If they do not bring the others to trial then I would have to conclude, reluctantly and regrettably, that they are still dragging their feet,” the home minister said.

That SAARC ministerial conferences are held only if the eight member nations confirm their attendance. Being present is a compulsion for India as well as an opportunity, especially since the Saarc protocol on terrorism would let the countries discuss the menace.
