The directive came after the court was informed that senior counsel Ranjit Kumar, who is assisting it as amicus curiae was not available.
Faced with the possibility of being sealed, the Ambassador Hotel had moved the Apex Court against an SC-appointed panel’s recommendation to seal Vivanta, a heritage structure built in 1945. The hotel, recognised under the Delhi Hotels Act, contended that the proposed action against it was in violation of law, as it had all valid licences.
